I published six more low-carb articles on the Answers.com site, so I've fulfilled my quota of 10 for August. (I didn't link to the Cinnamon Almonds one because there's  already a blog post on that recipe available on this site). Please check out the others if you have time:

Saturated Fat Intake on a Low-Carb Diet

Five Terrific Low-Carb Recipe Websites

Beyond Atkins: Low-Carbohydrate Diet Books

Tips for Staying Low Carb When Dining Out

Best Dairy Choices for Low-Carb Diets

I should also make it clear that there are a lot of third-party articles on the site that I didn't write; only the ones with my name at the top are mine. However, I encourage you to read the others as well if it's convenient, and let me know what you think of them.

Mostly, though, I'd really appreciate hearing what topics you'd like me to write on!  I enjoy writing, but these articles are a little different than my blog posts, where I just write about whatever moves me at the time.  There are only a few formats to choose from (Do's and Don'ts, Briefing, Lists, etc.), and while I've got a few in the works for next month on diabetes, eating on a budget, and artificial sweeteners, I'd love it if you'd give me some more ideas. You can either use the "Contact" page on this site or the "Comments" section, write on my Facebook page, or send me a tweet. Thanks so much!

I'd like to read about more new studies on how useful statins are in lowering LDL in women, problems with statins and how to decide whether to take them, and if high LDL is really related to cardiac disease. There seems to be much conflicting info about all this. Thanks.

Hi Jen,

Thanks so much for your suggestion. Id love to write about the statin issue, but unfortunately that's beyond my scope as the Low Carb Category Expert Writer. My articles must be strictly related to LC. Answers.com has a Cholesterol Expert Writer and A Heart Disease Expert Writer who could talk about statins and LDL cholesterol -- and may already have -- although I'm pretty sure the information they present will be more conventional in terms of the lipid hypothesis and need to lower LDL-C.

For low-carb ideas, you're welcome to visit the list of columns I have published (138 so far, at the rate of 2/week now). It can be seen by clicking the link at the upper right hand corner of each blog.

With respect Franziska you don't need much help from us, you are doing a fantastic job. You are a walking, living fantastic example of what a low carb diet can achieve. Today you are amongst the minority of dieticians, one day your advice will be main stream. Keep up your great work.

Kind regards

Eddie

Wow, thanks for your very kind remarks and feedback, Eddie :) I do need to come up with low-carb topics that have broad appeal and are easy for all Answers.com readers to understand. I'll try conducting a brainstorming session at the beginning of every month and see if that works :)

As always, I truly appreciate your support, and Dan's as well.

There are so many negative presentations of LC diets, that many people suspect it is the result of some sort of conspiracy (there are a lot of business interest in preserving the conventional approach to a healthy eating) , not just a wide-spread pre-judgement. I hope you will be able to report to the public in a future if you notice any pressure on you in that direction.
Thank you for doing all that work. Your example and work give many of us some standing when we are trying to explain reasons to limit carbs to our doctors and to confused people who suffer .
I have a polite request - please, touch the theme about confusing volatile sugar levels for a anxiety disorder. I see it more and more in people my age.

Hi Galina,

Always a pleasure to hear from you :) Thanks so much for your comments and support! I truly appreciate them.

Great idea about erratic blood sugar levels being mistaken for anxiety disorder. I'll definitely consider that topic. Thank you!
